Swiss Mountain Tours is a small, and flexible organisation. We strife to help our visitors to make the most out of their holidays. Located in the heart of the Bernese Oberland, one of the most diverse regions in Europe, we offer hikes, sightseeing tours, guided trainrides and multi day hiking trips.  


Robertus Laan, learned about the Bernese Oberland as a tourist during his frequent visits to the Alps , later also as an advert mountaineer. After residing in Germany and the USA, he moved to the heart of the Bernese Oberland and started to work for the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB). After gaining sufficient experience about tourism and the railways, he decided to start Swiss Mountain Tours with the idea to share his love for the beautiful region with visitors from abroad, by showing them the most interesting, and often lesser known, places.
